Comments
Tried to head up Youngs peak today, very very cold and about 15km winds were blowing. We turned around near the sadle after a large Crack audibly shot from the first group to the second group on the skin track. Immediately backed off and transitioned and went down. Thin snow pack, very hard breakable crust , some wind affected powder and lots of supportable wind crust. Near the hut was much better snow. The Rockies called and they want their snow pack back!
