24h spent out on the Spearhead traverse via Singing Pass, stayed 1 night at the hut and skied NE Face of Fitzsimmons, N face of Pattisson and Decker Fingers. Cold temps prevailed and calm/light winds at ridgetop. Opted to avoid climbing up on West slopes of Macbeth due to rapid warming and witnessed a Na wet slab size 1.5 from a quick solar punch. Climbed the west slopes of Tremor/Pattison col instead. Surprising lack of slab avalanches to report except a few faint fracture lines along the N face of Iago, size 1.5, from at least 24-48h previous. About 10-15cm of recent low density overlying old layers which were mostly supportive. Overall, very good skiing on most aspects above 2000m. Boot top powder on steep N faces with some good sluffing. Precious windslabs have settled out and are bonding well. Solar aspects/lower elevations became moist but due to high cloud cover, stayed pretty dry for the most part at high elevations. TL/BTL had challenging skiing and skinning conditions with deep ski pen and breakable crust, most noticeably going up Cowboy Ridge. This report is one day old now and assuming conditions have changed a little bit with the recent warm temps in the alpine.
