Comments

You don’t know until you go, but now we know so you can, too! The lower part of the Mt. Seymour Trail is in terrible shape and is essentially a stream in parts. We turned around after about 300 m as a group coming down the trail told us the resort is currently grooming the ski runs and actively preventing people from coming inbounds. Boot packing required in several places unless you really hate your skins and skiing out the skin track would be terrible. Probably needs about 30-50cm more snow to fully fill in the lower parts of the skin track. Snow was very sticky (skins started to stick within a minute of standing still) and it was pouring at the parking lot. Not worth it!
