Comments

Thick fog made the skiing challenging in the open so we stayed in the trees most of the days. There was some heavy groppel coming down at times with brief clearing period. There was a crust 30cm down but was well bonded with the recent snowfall. No signs of any recent avalanche activity. We had some heavy sluffing in the storm snow in steeper terrain. We dug a pit at 1950 metres top 20 failed CT 5 and failed at 35cm CT14. The Mid Dec surface hoar layer sheared nicely with the shovel pry behind the column but did not fail with the CT test.
