Comments
We climbed the ridge part way up East Peak to check out Smokers Bowl. Dug a pit, observed a crust layer about 50cn down that snow pack slid on after moderate impact. Snow in Smokers looked firm, no soft powder. A skier climbing up the bowl was leaving very shallow tracks. Skied down the ridge into the trees, found much better powder there.
