Comments
We went up Bruins Ridge today with a plan to ski 8812 bowl. Near the top of the ridge at 2400m we turned around and skied the up track on the ridge to get down because the weather changed. Wind was blowing strong and steady from the west over balu pass. There was a thin crust on the surface at 2100m and above which made skiing there less than ideal. We saw some shooting cracks on a storm slab <15 cm on a east aspect at about 2300m.
