Comments
Skiing in 5-Mile today, just outside of Whitewater Skihill. Felt like about 5cm fell overnight, this combined with moderate to strong easterly winds to form reactive windslabs. We skied in mainly protected TL glades and chutes where loaded pockets reacted more like a stormslab, about 5-15cm deep. In more exposed areas we avoided bigger terrain but still had several shooting cracks and some sluggish pockets moving (small size 1's). I'd expect more wind related avalanche action in exposed TL and ALP terrain as todays storm continues.
