Comments
Went up Begbie hoping for the summit but turned around when it proved too sketchy. After turning around, we thought about going up to the col but the wind was howling across the summit and down the glacier, so we turned back and skied down. The snow in the alpine was wind affected, but still soft in spots.
Coming down, we found soft snow in open trees that hadn't seen the sun all the way down to 900m.
The day started off clear but clouds moved in around noon.
