Comments
80 cm at 1500m (hut by Taylor meadows) and about a meter at 1600m. Very slow travelling. At 1600m the snow at the base is still wet. An ice layer at about 45cm down from the surface, but it seems to be bonded well to the newer snow (no shears on that layer based on the quick pit I dug). Was also snowing quite hard, > 2cm/hour for most of the day I was there (approx 5 hours).
Skis on at 2.5 km from the upper parking lot, so snow level is dropping.
