Comments
Variable snow surface quality throughout trip from hard wind scoured, wind slab, to nice soft snow with surface hoar and facets prominent. Underlying snow was pretty much completely faceted and un consolidated throughout. Skinning up from Mclatchie intersection through trees with very poor coverage/ straight through to ground from 1650m - 1900m NE aspect, would be survival skiing down
Probed ~65cm at 1880m in Harvey drainage. Probed 115cm on ridge top ( 2250m) on Nov 7th.
Found some reactive ~5cm to 10cm deep wind slabs in isolated areas on top of facets.
