Comments
-17 at the ink pots parking lot at 9am. Walked up the Ochre creek trail looking for some skiable non tracked slopes. Coverage was variable but better than expected, unfortunately not enough to ski anything good. Lots of sugar snow widespread. Tons of hoar frost in any open area or slide path. Observed some sluffing on sunny alpine aspects (see photo) (Ochre Spring peak south facing slide path). Temps were close to 0 around noon but then started too cool off again pretty quick after 1pm. No creek crossing were possible.
