Comments
Daytime temperatures increased from -5 at 10:30 am to +4 by 3pm at the Lake Louise Shoreline Parking Area. There was a slight breeze in the am, tapering off in the afternoon. Of note, the avalanche rating in alpine was moderate, the next avalanche gully over to lookers right of the two natural avalanches is above the mixed route Dark Nature, climbers were on the upper mixed pitches when the avalanches in the gullies to the left of it occurred at 1:35pm; hope they get down safely and that gully does not go too today! Perhaps the next few days are good to steer clear of that type of terrain if about the region.
