Quick test pit in glade near Deliverance trees. Focused on near surface snow temps and layers in upper 120 cm.
By noon, air temp had risen from a morning temperature of -5 to 0°C at pit study site. The snow temperature 10 cm below the surface was -7.5°C.
Digging down, it was clear that the last storm cycle settled into a cohesive (1 finger becoming pencil-hard) block of snow sitting on two melt-freeze crusts down 45 and 87 cm. No sign of the March 9 SH in this plot. We observed no ECT results.
Otherwise, throughout the day, evidence of things shaking up as predicted out there. One observed natural sz 2.5 ran full path from Zymacord Ridge. Numerous wet loose running E through SW. No observed cornice fall.
