Comments
Overall great conditions in the Blackcomb backcountry. Two small size 1 Sa storm slabs observed today on an ~45° E facing feature above Decker Lake and a small pocket releasing on a 40° N facing convex roll on the Decker uptrack.
Evidence of natural avalanche cycle up to size 3, including a suspected persistent slab releasing from steep rocky S facing slope east of the Weart Glacier.
Moderate winds were creating pockets of deep soft slabs on roll overs beneath Decker Lake with wind transport covering portions of skin track in ~15min.
