Firm pack (harder to put finger in) on top layer about 30cm, 3cm ice layer, increasing instability below (less and less hard to put finger in), very unstable snow pack about 130cm deep (fist easily punches through). Located just up from denser trees in the subalpine at the end of the cutline.
