Comments
Ski up March 19th to head col of chicago creek.
Calm wind overnight then westerly mod-strong ridge top wind picked up in late-AM, followed by a mod-strong southerly ridge top wind in PM. Sunny & -10c in alpine.
Riding was ok due to various conditions (pockets of 10-15cm of fresh snow overlying supportive hard crust from March. February crust is about 60cm down. Very very thin (10-20cm) HS @ below treeline.
Observed 1 recent >48hrs ago Na Size 2 in climber's right upper alpine bowl, suspecting cornice/wind loading failure onto lee convex feature.
