Comments
Spent Friday night at Hidden Lake and attempted to ski unnamed peak to north on Saturday.
FSR access was easy. From end FSR to Hidden Lake is thin but skiable. Snow below 2100m is a few cm of fresh over breakable crust and makes for terrible skiing. Good snow from 2100 to 2300m. Above this there was a hard icy layer that skis did not penetrate about 10cm down, making for difficult skinning (ski crampons would have been great). The ridge didn't have enough snow to skin, yet too much to easily boot pack, with lots of just-covered boulders.
