Anderson cabin area

Obs from the Anderson cabin over the weekend. Clear and calm Saturday. Dug a pit at 1250 m NW aspect, found the surface hoar layer down 90 cm on the crust, giving Hard sudden planner results. Also of note surface hoar was growing on the surface below treeline and in to the alpine and would have been buried Sunday if it survived the wind. On Sunday the snow and wind picked up, wind was strong from the north and accumulation for the day at the cabin was about 20-30 cm. Skiing was really good Saturday, Sunday snow was very wind affected in exposed areas all the way down to the valley bottom.
