Comments
Sheltered trees in the Lee were riding best. Alpine had 15-20cm wind press that was semi supportive. Dug pit on 20 degree NE aspect slope @1950m. Top 20cm wind slab clean planar sheer on 2nd wrist but no propagation observed ski cutting small convexities. Observed a mostly right side up snowpack with no further compression test results. Could not get PWL to pop but it is there. Stuck to conservative terrain due to this and recent large avalache activity in area. Numerous parties were skiing more aggressive line choices...at least 15 people skied Cheques in the mail.
