Comments
North facing ridge. We skied cautiously to mellow terrain and avoided the ridge. The trigger was low and set it off from East to West. The entire loaded slope of approx 35 degrees was let go instantly. Settled into a bench right at the top of tree line. The layer below was a very firm crust. Didn’t dig into that layer to observe. Sunday night had significant wind after a good weekend of snow in the upper alpine around Sunshine.
