Comments
Weekend at Healy Pass area - new snow Feb 25 made for some great skiing off of Monarch Ramparts. Quite a bit of variability but some powder to be found. Skied 35-40 degree slopes Feb 24 and found no signs of instability but rode some pretty variable hardpacked snow with pockets of powder from wind transfer. That all changed the next day with 10-15cm of new snow on Feb 25 - some excellent skiing to be found, skied 30-35 degree slopes off the eastern leeward sloped ramparts and it was fantastic. Wind transport was ideal leaving deep powder on leeward slopes, no new wind slabs. Witnessed no recent avalanche activity.
