Avalanche search and rescue training. Wind blown snow, hard packed and could walk in shoes except with wind-filled snow. White out conditions with gusts of wind that would blow you over (or in one case blow off a shield from the skidoos). Creek pretty bare and icy on way up and melted on way down - lots of elders and rocks
