Comments

Following a week of strong high pressure, temperature inversions and freeze-thaw cycles, the top 5 cm of storm snow is soft at all elevations and aspects. Below the soft snow is the Nov 30 supportable rain crust. There’s 5-15cm of wet rounds sandwiched between the Nov 30 and Nov 24 crust. CTM 13 down 20cm failing on DFs below the crust. Be careful traveling out there, still pretty shallow with lots of obstacles lurking beneath. A slip would likely take you for an unintentional ride.
