Comments
We spent 2 days in the Tunnel Creek area, camping not far from the hut. On day 1 (Sunday), we skied a lap on Sunnyside (S aspect), finding it quite wind blown and crusty. Measured 290cm snow depth at ridge top. Better snow could be found below 1600m, in sheltered areas (still S aspect).
On day 2 (Monday), we skied a N/NW aspect, with fairly dense trees. No signs on wind slab in the trees, and the ride quality was fantastic.
