Comments
We observed some big surface hoar in open meadows but what we did not see was wind. The 20 cm of snow is still light and powdery. Just off a ridge at 2130m on a north aspect we found 120cm of snow with two crusts we will be watching once the weather changes. Generally the snowpack is weakening with the continued cold temperatures. Great riding conditions exist in areas with smooth ground coverage but the unconsolidated snow isn't hiding obstacles well.
