Comments

Skiing quality was good, but new storm snow is consolidating and the powder is becoming heavier. Avoided areas with obvious wind affect. Dug a test pit out of curiosity. Results as follows:

Elevation: 2400m

Aspect: NE

Snow Depth: 105cm

Angle: 31 degrees

Air Temp: -4.5 Celsius

Results: No reaction in test pit. When the test column was pulled by hand afterwards, no layer sheered - the entire column slid at ground.
