Comments
Drove north of elkford to find some new terrain and try avoid the SH issue in Fernie and scope out conservative terrain with the avy report.
Found a fun cut block off the side of the road. It was plowed as far as we drove (126km). 1hr40min to get to the top of the trees. Slopes under 30degrees.
Fun ride up and down, no avalanche observations. It was cold and wind picked up around 1pm.
Powder was deep, a quick ski pole test HS was greater than 125cm.
Saw lots of fun chutes around, I don’t think this area is skied much! Hush hush
