Cold snow 👍

Clearing skies and a visable fresh snow line that looked to be down into tree line lured me back to Shames again. Super foggy base area but cleared to broken skies and actual sun at times! Cool with crusty snow around the base area. Skins down tower 5.5😉 supportive crust that starts to break down above the chair with soft cold snow surface above 1100 m's (around top tee) light if any wind and 5 to 10 of fresh on the knolls. Heavy wet dried out significantly with a nicely rideable surface off third knoll 1300 m's) that starts to firm up by the meadow below. Skinning not the tragedy of effort it was Thur and Fri. With cooler more supportive snow but still knees to chest in stepper areas and terrain full of obstacles and air holes by bushy tree bases to suck you down. Ride out more of an issue on chair line with thin base, many bushes and breakable crust. Gave up for my own safety at tower 9/10. 1 caught edge face plant was enough 😎
