Had a great day up Little Sifton today. A bit of a sporty uptrack on Grizzly Shoulder, why is it always set so steep? Suncrusts were noticed on steep south and southwest from yesterday. Made it to within 30m of the top of Little Sifton summit but a burried windslab below the summit didn't inspire much confidence. The ski down the north, northeast and east facing slopes was all time. Even the few days old debris skied soft. No whumpfing or cracking noticed anywhere. We avoided the gully exit down to the TCH by traversing right in the Grizzly West Glades where most alders were easy to avoid. A beautiful day all in all. Of note, we saw a group heading up towards Grizzly Mountain mid day and tracks could be observed down the Grizzly Couloir from the Visitors Center Parking lot at the end of the day. Good thing for them the storm slab didn't let loose on the underlying crusts. There was no sign that we could see indicating that the couloir had slid during the last cycle.
