Comments
Definitely early season conditions but we skied!
The road into the falls lake parking lot was plowed. We had some hiking to do before we were able to use skins on the pipeline road. The trees were icy with minimal snow coverage and lots of early season hazards, but could be easily skinned up. These conditions made for a pretty difficult return to the car later in the day.
Getting up onto the ridge we were pleasantly surprised by the amount of snow up top. There was about 10cm of powder on top of a crust. Lots of lines and holes aren't filled in yet but that didn't stop us from finding some turns. There was a report from last weekend which mentioned it was decent skiing to approximately 1700m and this was still the case.
