Comments
Got into the crowfoot glades around 10am and rode them until 4pm. Sun was out in our area most of the day and packed a punch (we definitely over dressed). Temperature was +6 at the top of tree line with the diffused sun. Snow started off light and fluffy and quickly became heavy just an hour or so in. At the end of the day when the sun was completely gone a crust started to freeze up. Loose wet avalanches coming off the steep faces constantly all day. No signs of instability on anything we rode. Bring your glob stopper from now on. A couple parties turned around because it was such an issue.
