Skied the Tryst Lake chutes area. Snow quality was amazing with 20-30cm ski pen and minimal wind effect. Pockets of wind slab were present in the top 10cm of snow in isolated areas. Did not produce significant results in hand shears. As noted, we caused a skier accidental sz 1 avalanche in steep treed terrain. No other avalanches were observed.
Temp was -30 at 8:45am, and -4 at 3pm. Winds were nil all day. No new snow and clear sunny skies with significant solar input all day.
