Sz 3-4 surface hoar grew overnight Jan 20th in open cut blocks and meadows in both the and Coal Creek (first image) and Morrissey (second image) drainages. Widespread but only found above 1800m during our travels over the last two days.
15cm of 4F soft snow sitting on 2cm supportive crust. Mid-snowpack well consolidated with no results on any snowpack tests.
