• Mellow slopes

We stayed away from:

• Alpine slopes
• Convex slopes
• Steep slopes

The day was:

• Cloudy
• Warm

Avalanche conditions

• Whumpfing or drum-like sounds or shooting cracks.
• Rapid temperature rise to near or above 0°C or wet surface snow.

Tough conditions. Snow is isothermal to 2200m. Then breakable crust above. Very challenging travel on the way down.

No new avalanches seen but evidence of a widespread cycle over the past few days...
