Skied a lap of Surprise Pass today and found good overall conditions in the run. The top was a bit firm but skied fine. The middle section was great and although you could see some old tracks they didn't affect skiing at all. Saw two more parties (groups of 2 and 4 I think) heading down after us but still plenty of room for more turns regardless.
A mostly windless day but it did look to pick up in the alpine after we skied down.
