Comments
Stormy, steady snowfall all day. Dug pit on small slope below pass at 2370m. East aspect 25º lee, wind loaded. HS110 SS50 CTH24 SP. Higher up at treeline we observed cornice failures, (skier triggered) on small features below rock ridges. One had a 35cm crown (photo) ran about 20m. Anything above 30º will be very touchy right now as last weeks storm snow has slabbed up.
