North Cirque Arrowsmith

Bryce and I had a great Saturday wallowing and skiing in the north cirque. We skied the Hour Glass couloir then headed up the steep exit gully and linked it into Ravens Gully. We noticed some small stuff falling in the afternoon, but the cloud cover saved the snowpack. We noted the same layers AvCan did in their 20th and they still didnt do anything. The top of the steep exit gully was cold dry powder (the steepest shaddiest north facing slope we rode). There was lots of sluff when we skied the lines, including some small point releases in the fans. Sunday the snowpack was wet and heavy below 1400 m and rock hard above, ski crampons will be everyones friends in the coming weeks if we get a good freeze.
