Comments
We spent the day skiing in the Maladine Pass area. Due to the cold temps we had a late start and skied open SW facing slide paths.
There was a mix of old faceted wind slab and old faceted powder topped with surface hoar which decreases in size as we gained elevation.
Winds were light from the south all day with no pluming observed.
We saw 2 size 2 wind slabs out on a north aspect and a cross loaded SW aspect both around the 2250m close to the pass. Neither of which were new.
