Comments
Boot packed up Phantom earlier today - an axe and sharp edges were required to navigate the challenges on the way up and down (boilerplate). A few good turns were had before hitting the fan. No significant obs on the way up - wind effect was obvious on the N facing aspect in the couloir but nothing was reactive. Skiing down from the bench was way more fun - a somewhat breakable crust but it gave way easily if you just gave ‘er. Lots of parties - we were the first up and counted at least 12 crossing the lake 1.5h after us. Quite a few tracks but you could still find some good turns. Sun was beaming and keeping us warm with the inversion - but winds started picking up again around 1pm and sun disappeared behind the clouds. Bobsleigh run (fun!) back to the parking lot.
