2 Trips up Zoa for early-season profiles this week. 12/17/2019 saw s-2 during observation period, calm winds. 1500m’s HS 32cms.

Today a little bit more time and a better look. Zoa subpeak has an HS of 81. Dec. 10 SH down 17. Fist Mixed-forms (RG, Rimed PP’s - 1-2) over lying Nov. 23 Mfcr 6cms thick.

Attempted an ECT, however Rutchsblock Cord did not isolate block adequately and there was not enough time for another mechanical test.

No strong enough evidence of wind-affect. Upper snowpack is fairly well supported. Unfortunately, unable to comment in detail RE storm slab problem.

Decent touring from the parking lot on the up track. However, the descent could use another 100cms of coverage. Which may very well happen over the next 72hrs. Overall, the zone has come a long way from no snow a couple weeks ago.
