Comments
Skier triggered avalanche, ridden for 20 meters without injury. No wumphing prior to incident. Avalanche triggered as ascending slope, failure on low density snow 15cm below the surface wind slab
and stepped down to 30cm.
Rain crust 40cm below was not involved.
Two pits dug beside the crown and side of the avalanche failed sudden planer 10-15cm down, while trying to isolate the column.
