Comments
15-20cm settling storm snow (getting schmooey on south aspects by noon) sits on sun crusts (ranging from 20cm thick on steep true south) to 1-2cm and breakable on lower angled E or SW aspects. The top 10-15cm was reactive on steep south facing slopes (shooting cracks)... overall it was quite variable and not exactly carefree skiing!
Maybe best to seek out high(er) north facing aspects?
