Comments
Snow is settling out making travel much easier and the skiing much more fun. Lots of smiles and friendly faces out and about!
At 1200m on a S aspect we found 85cm dry snow with 3-5mm surface hoar in sheltered locations. 15cm from the ground the old snow with a 1cm ice crust. Snow below the crust was faceting.
Temp at TL was -7, winds moderate from the SE with plumes of snow blowing on alpine ridges. Sky was clear. No evidence of avalanche activity on any slopes visible from the Ski Hill.
