Went up Connaught with eyes on Nikki’s notch but bailed due to old avalanche debris in the fan and a thin looking approach from Balu to the entrance. Ended up skinning up Balu pass towards 8812 and dropped into the bowl off the ridge where we found good but heavy snow and variable conditions
