Great riding at treeline with 30cm of low density snow (very faceted and topped with surface hoar) over the old rain crust. Total snowpack at treeline around 90cm. Minimal snow base and lots of alders below 1500m. Saw no signs of recent avalanches but had minimal visibility in the fog.
