• 30cm + of new snow, or significant drifting, or rain in the last 48 hours.

Rode the NE face of Glacier Crest starting at 2230m. The mellowest line with a 35-degree incline. Fully alpine and planar with no tree cover until 1700m. Uptrack was top notch all the way to the summit. Slight wind-effect on snow lee of the ridge (NE-facing). Did not observe slab properties on top layers of snow. HS @ 1350m 50cm, @2240m, 185cm. Dug a full profile @ 2240, NE,lee of ridge. 2mm graupel layer 85cm down. Weak layer on HST and Nov 5 rain crust (on facets above). No slab properties on HST and no propagation over rain crust facets. Large ski cut on the convexity above the slope before dropping. Much powder, much fun, uber-flatlight. A little billy-goating to get out of the Lookout Valley. Loose dry Na observed on steep, slabby slope E of Glacier Crest.

0-65cm down: F-4F, 65-115: 4F-1F, 115-116: 4F facets, 116-123: Nov 5 rain crust, 123-124: 4F facets. Got hard results on top of the rain crust and no propagation after both ECT and PST.
