Comments
20 cm fresh snow from last night. Temp -10 at parking lot. -2 at 1300 m. Did not go into alpine bowls as the new snow was wind affected and unaffected powder was available in the cut runs.
Obs: open area at treeline above run #1. 1300 m. Wind transported snow 20-30 cm over denser snowpack. Ski pen 25cm. Widespread whumpf in opening. Hasty pit: 170 cm total depth. 20-30 cm unconsolidated snow then denser snow. 2 crust/hoar layers. (incl Jan 13 layer?) 70 cm from surface.
