Comments
Skied a lap on Dolomite Shoulder from 2650m. 5-10cm of new snow sitting over the old tracked out, wind hammered, ice crusted surface - when you didn't hit the old stuff it skied very well! The lee aspects have been loaded in the last snowfall and we did not try our luck in them. Sunny, cold and windless all day in the alpine, (felt warm in the sun but was cold in the shade at treeline). The lower forest skied like it was late spring, crusty frozen in tracks alongside heavy untouched snow when we exited in the afternoon.
