Comments

We did the Fraser chutes on Saturday. Arrived just around noon when the weather was already crazy warm with the sun literally burning with barely any clouds. Bottom part between the trees had quite a bit of heavier snow that still felt somewhat poofy. Once we got above tree line we could feel the change to solid pack with couple inches of snow on top (perfect conditions for begginers used to groomed resort hills) that eventually turned into crust. As we got up to the peak we could definitely feel the change to icy slopes so skinning up became more difficult. We saw couple small cornices but nothing major. Overall it was an amazing day with great ski conditions for those who are just learning how to work their way around the back country 😊
