Comments

We observed a few natural avalanche that happened within the last 24 hours on all aspects and all elevations, varying between size 1 and 2. Setting up the skin track in deep snow resulted in shooting cracks and traversing on steeper slopes would often result in fractures that would propagate.

Multiple hand shear results showed a resistant planar break down 60 cm on hoar that would give out with medium strength and a break sudden collapse down 15 cm on a storm interface. The slab that resulted from those tests was thick, heavy and 4-fingers.
